The wholesome aspirations of Queenslanders are constantly being eroded, especially in the Beaudesert Shire.

Doing nothing about this sets the stage for loss of Human Rights.   Good Government is underpinned by vital people who demand answers - the correct answers and they take no prisoners getting to the truth.

There is an abundance of paper shuffling groups - this mostly knocks down out trees.   Action requires energy.   Shiny seats are for those who do not venture outside their comfort zone.   The cold edge of action pushes the personal envelope and great achievements follow.

Radical thinking and rational action is the catch phrase of "Residents Action on Infrastructure Development and Environment" (RAIDE), the Beaudesert Shire's crises action group.

Residents Action on Infrastructure, Development and Environment (RAIDE) is a group of concerned people who have come together to function as a watchdog to try to protect our shires residents from over-kill regulation expected as a result of the Investigation by the State Governments, Office of Urban Management (OUM), and its final outcome, condoned by Beaudesert Shire Council.

If allowed to run unharnessed over regulation will impact negatively on everyone who became home owners and business owners in the shire due to their rights being eroded by five (5) simultaneous planning processes, and , the worst planning legislation, weighted toward development at the expense of the environment, in Australia.

RAIDE  also questions why ?

Environmental Protection is limited to Beaudesert Shire Council, ' Vegetation Local Law '

Very little is being done for the majority of Fauna species, with only Quolls, Koala's and Wallabies given any consideration.   Possums, Gliders and all other small Native fauna are at extreme risk due to the severing of green and wetland corridors by road upgrades , new and proposed roads and infrastructure.   Problems exist with ferral dogs and cats along with unrestrained ( to the limits of private property ) family pets , that roam freely , mostly at night and are preditors.

RAIDE will continue to opperate as a working group with the best interests of community in mind during and after the annexing of a portion the North of the beaudesert Shire which is almost identical to the area of focus in the Mount Lindesay North Beaudesert Study Area held by the Office of Urban Management on behalf of the State Government and lobby groups including the Property Council and Major Developers from Overseas to continue urban sprawl across the South East corner of Queensland without the control of Councils and forcing existing residents to accept changes to their lifestyle and amenity and bear the financial load of the provision of infrastructure to give developers a free ride.

Raide will also assist anyone with issues in the section of the Gold Coast area that has also been annexed to Logan in the same undemocratic process which will be ratified by the people at the Local government Elections on March 15 2008.
